"We continue to train our staff so that they can develop and continue to provide quality care"
Holland House
Client Group and Admission Criteria
Holland House and its satellite homes are registered to provide care for up to 11 adults who have a primary diagnosis of mental disorder such as alcohol and drug induced psychosis, schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. Many service users also exhibit behaviours such as self harm.
Similar to Avalon, it also provides a step-down service for patients from our independent hospitals who are ready to move on to more independent living as part of their rehabilitation program.
The Service and Staff Team
The aim of Holland House is to rehabilitate service users to full community living. This residential service offers therapeutic and structured programmes to assist in this rehabilitation process by enabling service users to access further education and practical and meaningful work placements. They develop the skills and strategies to help them achieve their optimum potential at a pace that best suits them.
By extending their network of friends and colleagues, they are able to develop the social skills to enable them to lead a fulfilling and interesting lifestyle.
The staff team at Holland House are motivated and experienced in dealing with the diverse needs of this client group. They receive training tailored to manage complex behaviours and work closely with the clinical team to devise individual strategies to help cope with those who challenge the service.
