Client Group & Admission Criteria
Ivy Cottage is a mixed gender home for 4 people, which offers medium to long term care. Individuals placed here have moderate learning disabilities with some comorbid diagnoses such as mental health problems and complex behaviours.
The Service & Staff Team
As an Autism Support Service, Ivy Cottage would be a ‘step-up’ service for service users who may have complex needs. The route into this service may be from various sources, from local and wider services or for current service users who suffer a relapse or whose clinical presentation becomes more complex. This service can be used as a step-down facility for service users coming from hospital based services on Section 17 Leave or under Guardianship Order (1983 Mental Health Act).
Ivy Cottage will provide a care pathway to integrate current and future residential services inclusive of meaningful daytime activity.
