Clinical Governance in Learning Disability Services: How to make it work in practice

The seminar "Clinical Governance in Learning Disability Services: How to make it work in practice" is to be held on Monday 19th May 2008 at the Wrexham Medical Institute Lecture Theatre, Wrexham at 2pm - 4pm.

The seminar will be presented by Dr Bunny Forsyth, Consultant Psychiatrist / Clinical Governance Chair for Castlebeck and Mr Neil Wattret, Hospital Manager / Clinical Governance Lead for MHC.

Clinical Governance has historically been beset by difficulties particularly in mental health services.  Wider staff groups experience difficulty in understanding and taking ownership of Governance.  It is often felt to be complex, difficult to grasp and unwieldy in practice.

The seminar will begin by reviewing Clinical Governance in the current strategic context within North Wales.  Moving on, we will explore current and future strategies in making Clinical Governance work in practice at service level.

The seminar is free of charge and is on a first come first served basis, so please ensure you book a place as soon as possible.  To book, please contact Rachel Billings on 01824 792140 or alternatively via email on rachel.billings@mhc-uk.com
