Hospital Managers     circa £40,000      Wrexham & St Asaph

Vacancies have arisen within MHC for Registered Hospital Managers at New Hall Independent Hospital, Ruabon, Wrexham and Plas Coch Independent Hospital, St Asaph.

As the Registered Hospital Manager, you are personally accountable for the day to day operational management and strategic positioning of the Independent Hospital.  You will in addition, be responsible for the delivery of high quality and effective care, whilst ensuring that the hospital is commercially viable based upon a thorough and detailed understanding of contemporary mental health requirements, local and regional demographics and service opportunities.

You should be knowledgeable and fully conversant with the Registered Homes Act 2000, Healthcare Commission, Mental Health Act Commission and HIW.

The successful candidates must have substantial experience of operational management at a senior position and evidence of managing change within complex organisations.

Support Workers     £5.73 - £6.26 per hour     Various locations in North Wales and the North West

Joining our dedicated team, you'll build strong, trusting and professional relationships with our service users, providing them with ongoing support.  Experience would help, but it isn't essential as you will be given all the training and support you need to do your job.  Life skills are arguably more important, as is the ability to stay calm under pressure.  Commitment is also vital, along with excellent communication skills.

Support Worker      £5.73 - £6.26 per hour     Wrexham

New Hall is a 25 bedded Independent Hospital caring for men with mental health problems.  Clwyd Ward re-opened in April 2008 and provides a locked door, rehabilitation service.

As part of our multi disciplinary team, you'll provide essential support to patients who have a wide range of difficulties.  In this way you'll help them to live as independently as possible, enabling them to develop their life skills through occupational therapy and work placements.

A good team player with plenty of initiative, you'll be committed to delivering first rate patient care and will ideally have some experience of delivering secure services.  Above all, you'll be able to help us provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.

This is a permanant position and the hours of work are 42 hours per week, 12 hours per day, working 3 on 3 off shift pattern.

Support Worker     £5.73 - £6.26 per hour     Bodfari

Grove Hall is registered for adults with learning disabilities.  In keeping with Grove Hall's 'home for life' philosophy many of the service users now exceed 65 years of age.

MHC are looking for candidates who have great people skills to provide essential and ongoing support as well as personal care to our service users.

The successful candidates will be supported by a strong staff team as well as an extensive Multi Disciplinary Team who have a wealth of expertise and experience in this field.

This is a permanent position and the hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.

Support Worker     £5.73 to £6.26 per hour      Denbigh

Holland House and its satellite homes are registered to provide care for up to 14 adults who have a primary diagnosis of mental disorder.  It also provides a step-down service for patients from our independent hospitals who are ready to move onto more independent living as part of their rehabilitation program.

We are looking for candidates who have great people skills to provide essential and ongoing support as well as personal care to our Service Users.

The successful candidates will be supported by a strong staff team as well as an extensive Multi Disciplinary Team who have a wealth of expertise and experience in this field.

This is a permanant position and is 37.5 hours per week.

Advanced Support Worker     £5.73 to £6.26 per hour plus £0.40 (Advanced Support Worker Enhancement)       Llandyrnog

Ash Intensive Support Service offers quality care and support to adults who have moderate to severe learning disabilities and who may have additional physical disabilities or mental health needs.

We are looking for experienced support workers: preferably NVQ 2 qualified who are committed, enthusiastic, flexible and have excellent communication skills.  The successful applicants will receive an enhanced induction and will be supported by an extensive Multi Disciplinary Team who have a wealth of expertise and experience in this field.

This is a permanent position consisting of 37.5 hours per week.

Night Team Leader     £6.62 - £7.12 (depending on qualifications)plus £0.20 per hour night enhancement     Llandyrnog

This is an opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to become a Night Team Leader at Highfield Park, Llandyrnog.

The key purpose of the role of Night Team Leader is to ensure the safety of the units on Highfield Park and it's service users in the absence of other staff, under the supervision of the Manager.  To offer appropriate care and support to individuals in accordance with person specific care plans and risk assessments.

The successful applicant will be a good team player with plenty of initiative.  You'll be committed to delivering first rate care, and will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.

You will have excellent planning and communication skills, along with the ability for accurate record keeping and display a keen eye for problem solving.

The successful applicant will preferably be NVQ 3 Health & Social Care qualified or have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 and be willing to undertake Level 3.

Team Leader     £6.62 - £7.12 (depending on qualifications)     Various locations in North Wales and the Wirral

MHC have a number of vacancies for dynamic and enthusiastic Team Leaders,  at various sites within North Wales and the Wirral.

You will have excellent planning and communication skills, along with the ability for accurate record keeping and display a keen eye for problem solving.

The successful applicants will preferably be NVQ 3 Health & Social Care qualified or have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care and be willing to undertake NVQ Level 3.

Registered Nurse (RNLD qualified)     £24,290 - £26,806 plus night and weekend enhancements     Corwen

Based at St David's Independent Hospital, Carrog, Corwen, you will be responsible for the supervision and co-ordination of a team of staff involved in the care of patients.  This involves allocating key and associate workers and ensuring the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of Care Plans and Risk Assessments. 

Domestic     Pay rate negotiable at interview    Llandyrnog

An opportunity has arisen for a domestic at our Head Office in LLandyrnog, near Denbigh.  The successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative as they will be working alone.  They must also be flexible as they will be required from time to time to work in other departments.  Knowledge of current cleaning procedures would be an advantage.  The successful candidate will be required to attend the Company's Induction Programme and attend training as and when required.

Duties will include general hands on cleaning in offices, toilets, kitchen and reception area.  Safe use, handling and storage of all COSHH related agents and reporting any maintenance issue.

 Domestic Assistant     £5.73 per hour    Bodfari

Grove Hall is a 20 bedded residential home caring for older adults with learning disabilities.  An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant, this is a permanent position and is based on 37.5 hours per week working a five day rota which will include some weekends.  The hours can be flexible to suit employee and employer.

The role will consist of the following:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  • Ensuring that all communal areas are kept clean, paying specific attention to dining areas
  • Dealing hygienically with disposal of refuse and ensuring that rubbish bins are cleaned daily
  • Keeping bathrooms and toilets clean and disinfected
  • Working within COSHH guidelines
  • Any other domestic duties as directed by the Home Manager
  • Ensure that our service users enjoy the highest standards of hygiene at all times
